description A Charlottetown businessman stricken down by disease before his 40th birthday, Albert W. Mitchell left a photographic legacy that is just beginning to be seen and appreciated. Besides the selection published here, 35 of Mitchell's pictures will be on view later this year as part of a co-operative regional exhibition of photographs entitled "The Past in Focus: A Community Album Before 1914." Mitchell will be the Island representative in the nationally touring exhibition organized by the Mount Saint Vincent Art Gallery and the National Film Board (Atlantic Region). It opens on the Island at Eptek Centre on April first, and will later be seen at Confederation Centre Art Gallery, Basin Head Fisheries Museum, Dalton Centre (Tignish), and Orwell Corner.
