Guide to Searching the Collection
How to Search the Collection
-Click on "Digital Collection"
-Use the "Search the Repository" box on the top left-hand side of the screen.
-Choose whether to search by Title, Author, Subject, Description, or Collection.
-Include a search keyword in the box below.
-When the search results appear, you can narrow these results by selecting a category in the top left-hand side of the screen.
Tips for Getting the Best Search Results
-As there are two search boxes, searches can be narrowed or expanded by using two search keywords and the "and/or" box.
-Searches will automatically include results from all regional collections unless a particular collection is specified. "Collection" refers to the Regional Project that is responsible for the photograph, i.e. Tignish or Cardigan.
-Note: The search box does not recognize apostrophes. Therefore, it will only recognize the O'Leary collection if spelled without an apostrophe, i.e. OLeary not O'Leary.
