The natural wonder known as "Elephant Rock" was truly a magnificent site to see. Elephant rock was caused by the constant weather and waves hitting the rocks just off of the North Cape shore. This constant erosion formed what looked like a elephant out of the large rocks.
However, what was once created by nature; soon began to be destroyed the same way. Many methods and money were put into "Elephant Rock" in order to slow down the erosion. It was a huge tourist attraction that people came to see from all around the world. This worked until around six years later when the trunk of the elephant broke off.
To this day the main portion, minus the trunk, can still be seen up in North Cape; along with stories and pictures that can be seen of it's original form.
