MacLeod, Jimmy

(1900 – 1983)

Jimmy “Jimmie” MacLeod was the son of Donald Neil and Flora MacLeod of Lorne Valley. Jimmie was the brother of Walter MacLeod the impersonator and they also had twelve other siblings. Jimmie was famous for his talent as a fiddle player and a step dancer. Jimmie was also a cabinet marker and a mason plasterer. He would plaster houses and build chimneys for people in the community. Jimmie is thought to have lived in the Lorne Valley area from 1928 – 1943. Jimmie passed away in 1983 and was buried beside his wife Grace in Bangor. They had three children together Carol, Dwayne, and Lynda.
