Velma's Rose Bush
Velma's Rose Bush [i]
In the sand dunes on the Northside of East Point are two thin rose bushes. Velma's rose bushes. It seems unlikely that such a delicate plant would grow in such a harsh place, but they have been blooming there for decades. Named after a lady who work at the (lobster?) factory once there, the plants are believed to be domestic and not native to Prince Edward Island.
