Historical Landmarks [i]
History is a critical aspect of community living. Many times this history is in the form of stories, written or oral. If we are lucky, pictures and artifacts still exist to give future generations a clue to the different ways of living. If we are really lucky, historical landmarks are preserved for years. In Eastern Kings we are amont the "really lucky," in that we have a few historical landmarks still operating in one capacity or another. These landmarks are the destination for many Island visitors. As well as many local residents, who seek to view the very locations that many written and oral stories they have grown to love, actually took place!
